Damate Group, Russia’s largest turkey producer, will increase its production capacity for branded natural and minced turkey semi-finished products by 30%—from 120,000 to 155,000 tons per year. The project investment will total approximately 1 billion rubles.

The need to expand production capacity for natural and minced semi-finished products is driven by growing consumer demand for these items. The project will also enable the company to increase the share of branded products in its portfolio.

The project is being implemented at Damate’s turkey slaughter and processing plants in the Rostov and Penza regions. The modernization will involve 15 production lines across the two facilities. Construction and installation work, along with the installation of new equipment from Russian and international suppliers, will be completed by the end of 2026.

At the Penza region facility, the upgrade will boost production capacity for drumstick, wing, and breast fillets, large-cut semi-finished products, minced meat, *kupaty* (fresh sausages), and meatballs. Lines for raw material preparation, packaging and labeling of large-cut products, and vacuum packaging will be updated. Additionally, lines for preparing raw materials for minced products will be modernized, and new packaging and labeling lines for *kupaty* and minced meat—as well as a fully automated meatball production line—will be installed.

In the Rostov region, Damate will increase production capacity for steak-style products, drumstick fillets, and small-cut semi-finished products, while also installing new equipment for fully automated beefsteak and meatball production lines.

Damate is constantly seeking new opportunities to expand its product range, including by improving product formats for the convenience of the end consumer. "In the current environment, we are prioritizing projects aimed at optimizing our product mix; this will enable us not only to increase production volumes of high-demand items but also to achieve a rapid return on investment," noted Stanislav Varich, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance at Damate.

It is worth noting that Damate is developing Russia’s largest turkey production complex in the Penza region, comprising hatcheries, rearing and finishing houses, a turkey processing plant, a deep-processing facility, grain storage silos, and feed mills. The agricultural holding’s second turkey production complex is located in the Rostov region and includes a hatchery, rearing and finishing houses, parent stock facilities, a turkey slaughter and processing plant, and a feed mill.
